    Based in China and Asia for nearly 15 years, Jon Santangelo is an experienced international education professional and educator with a career spanning both institutional practice and industry consultancy. He holds a BS in Communication from the United States and a Master’s in Education Management & Leadership (with Distinction) from the United Kingdom.


    Jon has taught and coordinated Critical Thinking, Global Citizenship Education (GCE), Project-Based Learning (PBL), IELTS, and Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language (ESL). His expertise bridges academic instruction with strategic educational development. He is now at an IB International Day & Boarding School.

    A part of a team that lead a Global Citizenship Education campaign to spread awareness about Earth Hour to public primary schools in Beijing, in partnership with the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Hilton's official philanthropy partner.

    2015-2022

    Private and Corporate Training

     

    Founded Chariot Global Education, a consultancy specializing bespoke soft skill training of language & cultural communication to C-suite executives, business owners, and students.

     

    As well as in recruitment in China & Southeast Asia: Specializations in public relations, business development, strategic partnerships;

    Clients included a US J1-visa exchange program, an Oxford-Cambridge/G5 university tuition service provider, the world's largest platform for online ESL tutoring, and China's study abroad consultants association.

    2022-now

    Teaching & Coordinating in Bilingual Boarding Schools

    In 2022, Jon rejoined the institutional side of education as an Interim Vice Principal at the satellite school partner of Renaissance Academy of California, USA, located in Guangzhou.

    In addition to administrative duties, He taught Global Studies, AP Microeconomics, and English.

    Following the closure of the program, he transitioned to HG Bilingual School, where Jon currently serves as the coordinator for Global Citizenship Education. Additionally, he teaches Critical Thinking, IELTS and IGCSE English as a Second Language.
